Fundraising & Networking

• Developing the fundraising program

• Grant writing and identifying funding opportunities with government, foundations, or philanthropic oriented individuals or organisations

• Building the Patron network, including organising Patron events

• Becoming a committed funding Patron

• In-kind contributions (e.g., donating goods, services, or organising events)

Advocacy & Visibility

• Developing a public presence on the web and social media

• Marketing, branding, or communications support

• Advocacy and policy influence (e.g., for ecovillage development approvals or partnerships)

• Serve as director on the Board of Trustees

Advisory & Subject Matter Expertise

• Property scouting, including due diligence and feasibility assessments

• Legal advice (focus on not-for-profit build-to-rent property development and management)

• Development master planning, permitting, and approvals

• Building technology, construction methodology, procurement and contracts management

• Technical systems and infrastructure (such as micro-grids, potable water and wastewater treatment management systems)

• Developing ecosystem services, environmental and habitat protection

• Developing intentional communities with shared responsibilities and ownership

• Establish the Foundation Board of Trustees

• Apply for charity registration with ACNC

• Seek DGR status from the ATO

EcoVillage Custodian Structure

• Structure the custodian not-for-profit association

• Develop the governance framework to manage and operate the pilot build-to-rent EcoVillage

• Acquire suitable land in northeast NSW, Tweed or Byron Shire for the pioneering Ecovillage project
